Children 6 mo – 2nd grade are at the BEST age to learn a second language! And when the learning is fun and interactive, the children begin to use the 2nd language easily in their daily lives!
Now more than ever, Spanish is becoming more mainstream – wouldn’t it be great to have kids naturally identify with other cultures and languages?
How do they get that way?
- Exposing them to the phonetics of another language
- Singing and dancing to encourage participation
- Learning basics of communication
- Making it fun and exciting to learn about the different cultures
- Repetition of material - gradually changing and adding more over time
A little bit about the Mommy/Daddy & Me Spanish class:
- Uses songs with which kids are already familiar, such as:
- Frere Jacques
- Yes sir, that’s my baby
- Head & shoulders, knees & toes
- Etc.
- Interactive games to get them on their feet and play with the different tools and resources (such as puppets, instruments, objects, puzzles, etc.)
- Reading books with large pictures and interactive dialogue
- Very repetitious – each week the children will have the same lessons with only a slight variation. This enhances their learning & retention. The variations will only enhance the vocabulary of which they have already been exposed
- Over time they are able to have an ear for Spanish and be able to have a basic dialogue
How Long?
The class is between 30 – 40 minutes
How Much? (These prices are for US classes only)
- $8.50 per class / $15.00 with two children / $21.00 with 3 or more children – pay as you go
- $37.00 for 5 classes / or $68.00 with two children / or $95.00 with 3 or more children – no attendance taken into account - $ subtracted only when you are there
- $115.00 for 4 months (17 weeks) / or $205.00 with two children / or $300.00 for 3 or more children - this is to attend class once a week – at end of “semester” will have the option to renew. at end of semester, will not be able to make up any missed classes.
- $185.00 for 4 months (17 weeks) / or $305.00 with 2 children / or $450 with 3 or more children - this is to attend class on an unlimited basis. any of my classes as many times of the week as you would like. at end of “semester” will have the option to renew. at end of semester, will not be able to make up any missed classes.
- $370 for a package of all unlimited classes (1 child) - Children's & Adults
